Catching Up on Tidbits

I've been trying to get back to blogging regularly like I used to, but it is definitely harder to do with new baby Cash. He's currently the love of my life and gets most of my time, if not all...

I can't believe that May is arriving this weekend. We've had almost no Spring and there is still a bite in the air. We've flown through two birthdays (complete with parties, of course) and the Easter Holiday so far this month.

At least we've had a few days here and there to let the children run wild outside. Our lungs have been craving the fresh outdoor air after this long Winter.

Book Love

I've been constantly renewing this book from the library, unable to give it back. It's called The Stress-Free Home by Jackie Craven. It's so much fun to read and study. I like it so much I purchased a copy for myself. I couldn't resist getting The Healthy Home as well, also by Craven. I can't wait to get them in the mail!

Soon, Soon

So close, but so far away. I can smell the soil, but still feel the chill. You can't just skip summer, right??

I love looking at this painting by Homer. It reminds me of Whistler, but through a clearer eye. I imagine it to be an incredibly humid night with wine, fruit, and close friends. I think it looks like two girls dancing together...

Winds of Spring

'That sense, which when the winds of Spring
In rarest visitation, or the voice
Of one beloved heard in youth alone,
Fills the faint eyes with falling tears which dim
The radiant looks of unbewailing flowers,
And leaves this peopled earth solitude
When it returns no more.'
~Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

Browsing and editing family photos, milky music, and wine are all just asking for a night full of tears. Mostly good, some sad. Stop growing my dear little dears...

Let There Be Light

I love lamp posts. This lovely little figure is right outside our front door...
